Fares from hereone-way peak / off-peak
NJ Transit prices a rail ticket on the distance between your origin and destination. The fare is the same on every train: there is no peak surcharge and no off-peak discount, so the one-way price shown here is the price at 8 AM on a Tuesday and at noon on a Sunday. The zone numbers that appear in NJ Transit's own data are internal identifiers, not something printed on a ticket, so this site does not show them.
One-way, round-trip, ten-trip, weekly and monthly tickets are sold in the NJ Transit app and at station ticket machines. If a machine was available where you boarded, buying on board costs extra. Children under five ride free with a fare-paying adult, older children and seniors ride at a reduced rate, and disabled riders ride at a reduced rate with the relevant ID.
