The Ronkonkoma Branch runs from Jamaica along the Main Line through Mineola and Hicksville, then east through Bethpage, Farmingdale, Wyandanch, Deer Park, Brentwood and Central Islip to Ronkonkoma, the busiest station in Suffolk County.
It is electrified as far as Ronkonkoma, so trains run through to Penn Station and Grand Central Madison, and diesel Greenport Service trains continue east from there. It shares the Main Line with Port Jefferson trains as far as Hicksville.
