The Pascack Valley Line runs from Hoboken through Secaucus Junction, Wood-Ridge, Hackensack, River Edge, Oradell, Westwood and Hillsdale to Spring Valley in Rockland County, New York.
It is a diesel line that terminates at Hoboken, with Secaucus Junction as the change for New York Penn Station. It is single-track for most of its length, which is why service is less frequent than on NJ Transit's electric lines. The New York state stations are operated for Metro-North under its west-of-Hudson arrangement.
