The Hempstead Branch is a short electric branch from Jamaica through Hollis, Queens Village, Bellerose, Floral Park, Stewart Manor, Nassau Boulevard, Garden City and Country Life Press to Hempstead.
Because it is short and electrified, many of its trains run to and from Atlantic Terminal in Brooklyn rather than Manhattan, and Jamaica is the change point for Penn Station and Grand Central Madison. The inner stations from Hollis to Floral Park also see Ronkonkoma and Port Jefferson trains, so the service count at those stations is higher than the branch alone would give.
