The Gladstone Branch leaves the Morris & Essex Line at Summit and runs west through New Providence, Murray Hill, Berkeley Heights, Gillette, Stirling, Millington, Lyons, Basking Ridge, Bernardsville, Far Hills and Peapack to Gladstone.
It is electrified, so some weekday trains run through to New York Penn Station as Midtown Direct service; the rest run to Hoboken, with Summit or Newark Broad Street as the change point for Manhattan. Service is lighter than on the main Morris & Essex Line, particularly at weekends.
